1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LiftOff ("the platform", "we", "us", or "our") at lift-off.sh, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
Anonymous browsing is available without an account. Creating a profile, submitting a product, upvoting, commenting, saving, or otherwise participating in the platform constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
LiftOff uses third-party OAuth providers (Google and GitHub) for authentication. We do not store passwords. By signing in via an OAuth provider, you also agree to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy.
When you create an account, your email address may be used for service, informational, newsletter, and marketing emails in accordance with your notification preferences and applicable law. You may change your preferences or unsubscribe from newsletter and marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not affect emails already sent or service-related communications we are allowed to send.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@lift-off.sh.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion.
3. Product Submissions
You may submit products to the platform under a free or paid plan. By submitting a product, you represent that:
- You are the creator, owner, or an authorized representative of the product.
- The product is real, functional, and publicly accessible (or will be by its stated launch date).
- All submitted information — name, tagline, description, screenshots, and URL — is accurate and not misleading.
- You own or have the rights to all media (logos, screenshots) submitted.
We reserve the right to remove or delist any product that violates these terms, contains false information, or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.
Launch Date
The launch date you select during submission determines when your product appears on the platform. Dates cannot be changed after submission without contacting support.
4. Paid Plans, Advertising, and Billing
LiftOff offers optional paid plans — Featured, Boost, and All-In — which provide additional visibility, backlink benefits, and Fuel rewards. LiftOff may also offer paid advertising, sponsorship, or promotional placements. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. By purchasing a paid plan, advertisement, sponsorship, or promotional placement, you also agree to the applicable payment provider's terms of service.
If you begin checkout for a paid plan, advertisement, sponsorship, or promotional placement, we and our service providers may process the contact, checkout, offering, campaign, and product-submission details you provide to complete the purchase, prevent fraud, provide billing support, and send limited follow-up messages about an unfinished purchase where permitted by law and your communication preferences.
All sales are final. Because paid plans, advertisements, sponsorships, and promotional placements may take effect immediately upon successful payment and confer instant, non-reversible benefits (such as listing visibility, Fuel, backlinks, ad inventory, or campaign placement), we do not offer refunds. If you believe there has been a billing error, contact us at contact@lift-off.sh within 14 days of the charge.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect already-completed purchases.
5. Fuel System
Fuel is LiftOff's virtual points currency. You earn Fuel by completing missions (such as upvoting, commenting, saving, updating your profile, submitting a product, or making a purchase). Fuel can be transferred to your own listed products to increase their visibility.
Fuel has no monetary value. It cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to other users, or carried over in any form outside the platform. Unused Fuel may be forfeited upon account termination.
Your Fuel tier (Runway, Ascent, Orbit, or Starfall) is determined by your lifetime Fuel earnings and may affect transfer multipliers and other platform benefits.
6. User Interactions
Registered users may upvote, save, and comment on products.
- Upvotes are public signals of appreciation. Each user may upvote a product once.
- Saves bookmark products privately to your profile.
- Comments are publicly visible. You are solely responsible for the content of your comments.
You must not post comments that are abusive, harassing, defamatory, spam, off-topic, or otherwise in violation of these terms. We reserve the right to remove comments at our discretion.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Manipulate rankings through fake upvotes, coordinated voting rings, or automated tools.
- Submit fake, plagiarized, non-functional, or non-existent products.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without prior written consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
- Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional material.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the platform's infrastructure.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Violations may result in immediate account termination without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (product descriptions, images, comments). By submitting content, you grant LiftOff a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the platform.
LiftOff Content
All platform design, branding, code, and original content are owned by LiftOff. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute any part of the platform without written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not verify the accuracy or quality of any product listings. Use of any product discovered through LiftOff is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LiftOff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed, subject to our data retention policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
