KlipKap Pro
Auto-zoom, a smooth cursor and local captions for your screen recordings. The Screen Studio look, on Windows and Mac too.
About
KlipKap Pro is a screen recorder that does the editing for you. It zooms in where you click, turns a shaky mouse into a steady glide and captions what you say, so a raw take comes out looking like a produced demo.
I started it after using Screen Studio for my own product demos. I loved the auto-zoom, but paying a subscription for something I opened once or twice a month felt wrong, and the open source tools I tried looked amateur. So I wrote a weekend script that zoomed on my clicks. A few months later it was an app. It runs on Windows as well as Mac, and you pay for it once.
What it does
- Automatic zoom on clicks, with separate dials for intensity, smoothing and speed. Any single zoom can be pointed somewhere else by hand.
- Cursor smoothing, click effects and twelve pointer styles. The cursor is redrawn, so you can restyle it after recording.
- Word-by-word captions in 50+ languages, transcribed on your own computer. No API key, no credits.
- Voice cleanup, noise suppression and automatic silence trimming.
- Webcam overlay with layouts, rounded corners and a digital zoom to crop out a messy room.
- Multi-clip projects, so several takes become one video.
- MP4 or GIF export up to 4K and 120 fps, with vertical and square formats for social.
- A built-in MCP server, so you can edit a project from Claude or Cursor.
Who it's for
Founders recording product demos, developers making tutorials or walking a teammate through a pull request, support and sales teams sending quick walkthroughs. Anyone who wants a clean video without learning a timeline editor.
Private, and paid once
Recording, editing, transcription and export happen on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, it works offline, and you don't need an account to record.
The free tier is not a trial: it records, edits and exports at 720p with a watermark, auto-zoom and captions included. Pro removes the watermark and adds 4K, 120 fps, GIF, every social format and the more accurate caption models. One payment, updates included, and the same licence covers Windows and Mac.
Windows 10/11 and macOS 13 or later, on Intel and Apple Silicon.
